About
In 1596 a traveling swordsman named Arima Kihei posts a challenge in a Harima village to earn his rice, and a thirteen-year-old boy writes his name across it. Eight years later the Yoshioka heir, a man who would rather write poetry, has to answer a ronin with a wooden sword in front of eighty students. Every chapter belongs to the man Musashi beats: his debts, his pride, the people waiting for him at home. Musashi passes through their lives like weather, and keeps one dead man's letter.
